My photos tend to tell a story, perhaps due to my background as a writer. I look at photography as capturing little moments of life. People doing stuff – whether they’re dancers or musicians or demonstrators – that’s what I’m most interested in shooting. I also have a thing for pictures of bikes. And mysterious black and white shots taken with my iPhone.

I’m not a golfer but Pebble Beach is one of the prettiest places I’ve ever visited.
One of my pics of Reverend Billy was used for this Amy Goodman column. I ran into him on the streets of Austin during SXSW 2007. One of my most fun photography days.
This blog on the Blue Ridge Parkway used one of my pics of fall foliage.
A couple of my photos have been selected for inclusion in the newly released Schmap Washington DC Guide. Schmap is a PC-only freeware tool that runs interactive city guides. They found my photos throughFlickr and also have included a photos of mine from Pebble Beach and Las Vegas.

I was an official photographer for this festival of alternative theater in Washington, DC.
DC Shorts Screenplay Reading 2009
Audiences got to watch six scripts read live by actors and select the winner.
I took photos of the decommissioning of this historic ship, some of which were used by NOAA.
NOAA 200th Anniversary Celebration
On a brutally cold day, I did some event photography for my former employer, NOAA, photographing a wreath-laying ceremony at the Jefferson Memorial.
This was an evening of performance art at Artomatic 2008, hosted by Philippa Hughes.
I had a fun photoshoot with this group. The big picture at the top of the page is from the shoot. It was also reprinted in the Philadelphia Intelligencer.
